The first thing you are sure to notice about the Gibson Les Paul Studio Silverburst guitar is the amazing dark silver finish. Aesthetics aside, Gibson crafted the Les Paul Studio Silverburst to be much more than a fancy paint job. The Les Paul Studio Silverburst is a much lighter guitar than other Les Pauls on the market thanks in part to a semi hollowed out body (rather than pure solid mahogany). Additionally, Gibson has opted for a solid ebony fingerboard as well. The finger board makes this guitar incredibly playable and fast under the fingers- very responsive.
Gibson has also created a flatter 12" fingerboard radius which also makes this guitar lighter and easier to handle than other Les Paul guitars. Electronically, Gibson has placed the excellent Gibson 490R pickup and 498T bridge pickup which really gives this Les Paul amazing tonal qualities.
Gibson has once again revised the famed Les Paul line with an excellent Studio series electric which sounds completely different yet distinctly Gibson.
