Review: Electro-Harmonix 12AY7 Tube Mic Preamp
Listing for around $200 bucks, the 12AY7 is expertly designed to provide much needed warmth to your microphones for live or recording applications.
Basically, I love anything that has some tubes in it. Digital effects and pedals sound thin, less robust, and evil. This technology is pretty affordable and comes in a nice package.
Includes a wide dynamic rangeband 200V power supply for good boost. The only problem with the 12AY7 is that once you get used to the great tone, you will never go back!
