Review: Ebow Electronic Bow
Retailing for around $99 dollars, the famous ( or infamous) Ebow is perhaps the most unique and creative guitar effect that actually sounds good and is incredibly useful for creating bow like sounds on your electric guitar.
The Ebow works by creating magnetic fields around your guitar strings which cause them to resonate and create sounds without the need to pluck the string. This briliant concept sounds amazing. When used on a Les Paul (my favorite application) the Ebow really shines.
The use of the Ebow will take a bit of practice at first but in no time you will be creating some great tones. Bands like Rafioheaf, Smashing Pumpkins, ECG have heavily used the Ebow in both recordings and live performances.
