Retailing for just under $1000, the Gibson Reverse Flying V Guitar has been selling like hotcakes despite the fact that it was originally released as a limited edition model. Gibson even goes on to report that the reverse Flying V was the hottest and fastest selling electric guitar model they have ever introduced. There is no doubt that the demand exists, but what features does this guitar have?
Not many people realize (or remember) that the original Gibson Flying V guitar actually was introduced back in 1958! This guitar is constructed of top quality solid mahogany, Kluson-style green tuners, and a V shaped gold tailpiece. The guitar will be produced in yet another small batch available in three colors- Classic White, Ebony and Natural. Only 300 of each color will be created! Again, even for investment purposes there is no doubt that this guitar will hold and then increase in value over the years. Electronically speaking this guitar features classic 57' pickups and only one volume knob.
Again, this guitar is extremely rare and has already been well received. if you own one of these you are lucky!

The first thing you are sure to notice about the Gibson Les Paul Studio Silverburst guitar is the amazing dark silver finish. Aesthetics aside, Gibson crafted the Les Paul Studio Silverburst to be much more than a fancy paint job. The Les Paul Studio Silverburst is a much lighter guitar than other Les Pauls on the market thanks in part to a semi hollowed out body (rather than pure solid mahogany). Additionally, Gibson has opted for a solid ebony fingerboard as well. The finger board makes this guitar incredibly playable and fast under the fingers- very responsive.
Gibson has also created a flatter 12" fingerboard radius which also makes this guitar lighter and easier to handle than other Les Paul guitars. Electronically, Gibson has placed the excellent Gibson 490R pickup and 498T bridge pickup which really gives this Les Paul amazing tonal qualities.
Gibson has once again revised the famed Les Paul line with an excellent Studio series electric which sounds completely different yet distinctly Gibson.

The Ebow is something that has slowly changed what musicians thought an effect could accomplish. Basically, for those who do not know, the Ebow is a device that creates a small electro-magnetic field around your guitar strings. If you think I am kidding or this sounds like science fiction- think again. You have probably heard the Ebow sound in hundreds of rock songs and not even noticed it. Essentially, groups like Smashing Pumkins, Nirvana, and other grungers loved the Ebow for it's amazingly smooth and endless sustain. It truly does sound like a bowed instrument.
Retailing for around $90 the device is made of plastic (don't drop it- it tends to crack) and has room for a AA battery pack which does last days of usage. It has room for you to hold it around the strings and they will vibrate forever. Also makes a great live stage toy. Your fans will have no idea how you are making these incredible sounds.
Definitely makes a good stocking stuffer.

The CEntrance Axeport Pro is probably the smallest (Wearable) digital interface for electric/bass guitars. The device is constructed out of anodized steel components and is dead simple to operate. Essentially, retailing for around $150, the Axeport is designed as a traveler's guitar interface. Essentially, if you also wanted to lay down some recordings while standing up and walking around your home studio it could be achieved with the Axeport. Some of the initial questions that people have about the Axeport Pro is always regarding sound quality- How can this tiny thing actually sound good, you ask? It sounds fantastic actually. It has full 24-bit/96kHz audio quality with a nice and loud headphone jack and one input for your guitar. It is connected to your computer through fast USB 2.0 connection.
The Axeport is a rugged device that feels almost like something Apple designed. When actually connected to your computer the Axeport lights up at one end, like a little flashlight. We are happy to report that this feature can be disabled once you install the software that comes with the Axeport. Another amazing thing that Axeport does is shift all of the documentation and software drivers on a 2GB USB thumb drive. This was a very cool thing because after installing the software you get a pretty decent size capacity thumb stick out of the deal.
Bottom line- excellent portable interface that is perhaps the smallest in the known world at the present moment. The sound eeasily matches that of larger interfaces such as the Mbox series with full 24 bit recording. Highly recommended device.
