Gibson Vintage Reissue VR-10 Electric Guitar Strings
From the very company that invented the electric guitar comes some creamy strings which sound and feel great. The VR10's are constructed with pure nickel wire with an even more impressive core built from steel hex.
In my tests this seems to give a Les Paul noticably warmer "vintage" sound perfect for some cool jazz playing. As far as life goes, in my few tests I have gotten a good three weeks of heavy use our of these strings before they start to fall flabby.
A nice touch by Gibson is how they ship the strings- they come individually vacuum sealed.
